Improvements& Corrections

  • Small painted sight lines
    Makes precision alignment impossible.
  • Thick embodied sight line
    Provides rifle-like accuracy.
  • Curves and angles on the putter
Creates optical illusions and makes alignment a guessing game.
  • 100% rectilinear efficiency
Every piece is either perpendicular or parallel to the line. The whole putter head works for alignment.
  • Difficult to track
Minute swing flaws are not easy to detect.

  • Easily twists on long putts
Blade putters with rear mounted shafts tend to twist in hour hands

  • Ball skips before it starts its forward roll
  • Tracking gaps
Vertical gaps near the putter's central focus area make it easy to track the putter's movement, providing powerful feedback and surgeon-like control.
  •  High Moment of Inertia
Peripheral weight yields huge sweet spot and prevents twists

  • Onset face zero loft the unset zero loft face in front of the shaft delivers a no-skid immediate forward roll

Why was this Muirfield illegal putter so powerful?
Once you use the new Railgun II putter, you will understand why the Muirfield illegal putter pictured above annihilated its competition. The legal characteristics have been refined and improved in the advanced Railgun II putter.

In the 1966 Muirfield experiment, involving 18,000 six-foot putts, the above illegal putter significantly out-performed the second best putter by 20%, the average by 26%, and the worst putter by 48%.

Compare putters and find out What makes the “Railgun II” a better putter ?

The Railgun II improves on the fine features of the patented Railgun and addresses every defect present in other putters. The universally balanced 303 stainless steel Railgun II's club head , hosel, shaft, and grip are so configured that its total wight is pricisely centered and balanced about the club's shaft axis, thereby resulting in multi-directional stability which prevents the putter from twisting during use. You will definitely hole more one-putts with the Railgun II. Why does the Railgun II work better? Lets breakdown the elements of a putt ( line, stroke, moment of impact, and ball movement ) so you can see why the Railgun II is so effective.

1) LINE - If you don't line up correctly, you cannot hole the putt. Fortunately, the Railgun II, with its perfectly symmetrical body, its center-shaft design, and its parallel spacer bars gives you the correct line every time. Aiming the putter is very easy, because the shaft is mounted at the center of gravity.  It is the easiest putter to align.

"...it really is easy to align..."
- Tom Dellner, Links Magazine, Club Review

Onset vs. Offset
The shaft on the Railgun II is ONSET (as opposed to an OFFSET putter like a Ping ). ONSET means the striking surface is out front, where you can see the point of contact between the putter head and the ball. Your stroke is much smoother when you can see the blade strike the ball in the center of the Railgun II's barrel. ONSET design gives you immediate lift and overspin. Everyone knows the sooner your ball starts rolling end-over-end the straighter it goes — and the less likely it'll get knocked off-line. More putts will drop. So will your scores with the Railgun II. It's that simple.

With OFFSET putters just the opposite happens - the ball actually backspins, forcing your brain to correct the problem by manipulating the putter. In Offset putters the shaft or hosel obscures full view of the putter face. In other words, you are putting blind.

100% Efficient Visual Technology
The Railgun II putter head is perfectly symmetrical. The sweet spot is immediately at the center of the barrel where the shaft enters the head. The spacer bars assist in aligning the putting face perpendicular to the intended ball path. The spacer bars on each side of the barrel, purposely placed the width of a golf ball apart, provide the lines to track your putt swing. The center-shafted design provides a perfect pendulum stroke. Gaps in the putter head let you see exactly where you are at all times

2) STROKE

The goal is to take the putter back and through in a perfect pendulum stroke so the face of the putter is square to the target at impact. Consistent tracking is the hardest element to master with a conventional putter. Most golfers fall victim to the dreaded subconscious correction. Fortunately, the Railgun II is the easiest putter to track.

"...the easiest 'pendulum motion'..."
- Barry Lotz, J.D. Ph.D.,

Golf equipment with Surgeon-like Control
The exclusive Railgun II Tracking System is perfect for the preferred pendulum stroke. Gaps in the putter head let you see exactly where you are at all times. Many putters boast balance, but only a center-shafted straight shaft design can deliver a perfect pendulum stroke.

"This putter has a beautiful pendulum feeling...
...a putter that grooves the pendulum feel, this one does the trick."

Practice Perfect
The Railgun II ingrains a consistent, perfect stroke because of the perpendicular lines in its barrel, its spacer bars and the spacing between the barrel and the spacer bars — virtually impossible with conventional design. Teaching pros consider the Railgun II a great practice putter.

 MOMENT OF IMPACT
The Railgun II center shafted design and perfect balance provides a pendulum like feel through the putting stroke and assures a crisp moment of impact.

Reality" Balanced
Even "face-balanced" putters want to twist in your hands. The putter's weight must be distributed evenly, forward to back, and heel to toe. The Railgun II is perfectly symmetrical with the shaft in the middle of the barrel for perfect balance and absolute pendulum stroke. The easiest putting stroke to repeat.

Center Shaft
Imagine using a hammer with a bent handle or a handle entering the side of the head. Hit a nail and the hammer twists; so do most putters that are not center-shafted. It may be unnoticeable to the average golfer, but natural physics make it twist. You’ll never experience that with the Railgun II.

Over 80% Perimeter Weighting
Because the putter is made of heavy 303 stainless steel, weight has been drilled out of the middle of the barrel, machined out of the center at the back of each putting blade and added to the perimeter through the attachment of the spacer bars. This puts most of the weight toward the ends of the putting surface — in the perimeter. This is also known as "high moment of inertia."

A golf club with Exceptional Feel
You want a putter that gives you feedback that allows you to control the pace of the ball. This comes from the 100 percent milled 303 stainless steel putter head, through the shaft and grip, into your hands. The feedback from the center shafted Railgun II will definitely make you a better putter.

BALL MOVEMENT
The key is to get the ball rolling, end over end. The Railgun II zero loft rails deliver a crisp forward roll. You will never experience the backspin and jerky jump (caused by the loft) of your old putter. Once you experience the smooth forward roll, reading greens will become much easier.

Always a Pure Roll
Because of the Railgun II zero degree loft, the ball does not bounce or hop. This makes it an ideal putter for face on putting

Always a True Roll
Lofted putters inadvertently pull the ball when the toe is up or push the ball when down. The Railgun II has zero degree Rails to deliver a true roll — you can always expect the Railgun II to putt dead on target, every time.

Thomas Tucker,
Batavia Country Club Head Teaching Professional and Genesee Community College Golf Coach
says, "For the "Face On" style, the answer is a putterface with zero degrees of loft, because with no loft, the lie angle doesn't matter - the putt will roll squarely ccording to your stroke path. The Railgun II has zero loft, which is why I selected it for testing... I have tried several bigger brand names for the "Face On" style. None of the results ompared to the results of the Railgun II.....it was the best by far."

5) ADDED FEATURES - New 100 percent milled 303 stainless steel streamlined (2 inch by 3-1/2 inch) body is better looking and a much better quality than the original Railgun, but maintains the benefits of the frame design for ease of alignment.

Forgiving Lies
The Railgun II standard lie is 17 degrees, however, its forgiving contoured base accommodates golfers preferring one or two degrees above or below that.

Left and/or Right Handed delivers Two putters in one
A Railgun II putter can be used left and right handed. This comes in handy when a  ball is next to an obstruction and you have to switch hit or take an unplayable lie. Or perhaps you are one of those golfers who likes to putt both ways on a given round i.e. right handed for long putts and left handed for short ones or right handed for putts that break left and left handed for putts that break to the right.  With the Railgun II, you don't have to sacrifice another club in the bag.

Premium Head Cover
A Railgun II putter comes with a premium Putter Head cover for the ultimate in protection and durability.

 Popular Lamkin Crossline Paddle grip
A Railgun II putter comes with the black and white checkered Lamkin Crossline Paddle grip, one of the most preferred putter grips on Tour.

 Optional ball retriever
A detachable ball retriever is available to insert at the end of the grip so you don’t have to bend over to pick up your ball when you finish putting.

The Railgun II is an elite putter.  It is not a blade putter since it has two blades. It's not a mallet putter as you normally expect a mallet putter to be. It 's a frame putter that has the best of both worlds . The Railgun II has the benefits of a blade putter with great feedback along its center shaft, but without the drawbacks of an offset shaft. The Railgun II is onset with its striking surface in front of the shaft and has zero loft for instant forward roll.  It is an elite putter in a class of its own.

From the Mallet putters, the Railgun accepts the aligning features offered by its two parallel spacer bars located exactly the width of a ball apart for easy tracking, but without the drawbacks of an unbalanced body and lack of pendulum balance so typical of Mallet putters. The center-shafted Railgun II can be used by either a left-handed or right-handed golfer.

The Railgun II is the easiest putter to align, the easiest putter to stroke,
and has the purest roll in golf
